The possibility of the appearance of a new mineral species such as sulfo-calcium carbonate – rapidcreekite Ca2(SO4)CO3∙4H2O in products of the phase formation is considered on the example of the binding system – a gypsum-lime binder. On the basis of quite high values of anisotropic profile parameters of rapidcreekite, a quite small size of crystallites of this phase in the direction normal for crystals growth has been established (001). This makes it possible to consider the mineral formations of rapidcreekite as 1D nano-particles with certan palliatively.
